Chronology
Hodge is the third actor to play Cross, following Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the titular character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and led Lionsgate to scrap the planned, edit-friendly sequel Double Cross to turn up the damn brightness, please. The show is so dark, literally dark not metaphorically dark, that you can’t see what the hell is going on 75% of the time. Don’t you dare try to watch it during the day. I really want to get this review to the editor so they can do something about the lack of brightness. I feel like I haven’t made my point, but I have at least a hundred and twenty characters left before I can post, so I’ll keep typing until I get to this point. Sorry for the inconvenience, we’re almost there!
