Sawyer’s character was originally supposed to be an older, sleek, suit-wearing urban crook from Buffalo, New York. But when Josh Holloway forgot a line in his audition, then kicked a chair in frustration and cursed loudly, the writers liked how Sawyer lived up to his character and decided to write Sawyer as a more southern, darker drifter. Jin and Sun got married and share the last name “Kwon,” which becomes a major plot point in the final season.

In fact, in Korea, you can’t marry someone with the same last name, except in rare cases. The strange opening credits were shot in black and white by J.J. Abrams on his laptop, in homage to The Twilight Zone.

It’s amazing how much the show has aged. Watching it all over again, some of the storylines make a lot more sense. I even think the ending makes a lot more sense now.
I was completely blind to this when I first watched Lost
It’s a great show that paved the way for the beautiful landscape of high-quality TV that we enjoy today.
