Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator’s ad and becomes a mole in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary El Agente Topo. A remake of El Agente Topo (2020). I think it’s natural for many works of fiction to think something like, “It was an honor to share the lives of these fictional characters.” This show undeniably fulfills that goal well. It even has to be captured by the humanity that comes through not only in the writing but also in the performances of all the characters due to the mystery that has been given less focus. Congratulations to all the departments involved. Although Netflix has been hard at work renewing series lately, I hope they recognize the potential of the show by giving it a second season, because I hope to see more of these incredible characters’ journeys.
